Philippians 2:12-13 – Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

Have you ever wondered what Paul meant when he said in Philippians 2:12 to work out your own salvation? Well, let me read you the rest of the verse and maybe you can figure it out. Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for his good pleasure. How do you work out your own salvation, by obeying — by obeying God, whether the preacher is around or not. By obeying God and living in such a way that God is glorified. Work out your own salvation by working the works of God
