A Righteous Man Among Many Sinners

In Admonition by Aaron Cozort

Scripture:

Mark 2:14-15

Description:

A Righteous Man Among Many Sinners
Surrounded by sinners, but not participating in their sin. Levi is our example.
As He passed by, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, “Follow Me.” So he arose and followed Him. Now it happened, as He was dining in Levi’s house, that many tax collectors and sinners also sat together with Jesus and His disciples; for there were many, and they followed Him.

Reasoning From The Lesser To The Greater

In Admonition by Aaron Cozort

Scripture:

Mark 2:10

Description:

Reasoning From The Lesser To The Greater
But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, “Why do you reason about these things in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the paralytic, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.”

In Admonition by Aaron Cozort

Scripture:

Mark 2:5

Description:

We Walk by Faith and not by Sight
And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”

In Admonition by Aaron Cozort

Scripture:

Mark 1:38

What Is Your Reason For Being Here? How are you fulfilling your purpose. Christ was diligent to fulfill His purpose in coming to the Earth.
But He said to them, “Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this purpose I have come forth.”

Someone I Know Who Believes In Hell

In Admonition by Aaron Cozort

Scripture:

Mark 1:23

Description:

Someone I Know Who Believes In Hell
Many believe in Heaven, but not Hell. But the Demons know more than those people, because the Demons know Hell is real.
Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, saying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!”
But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!” And when the unclean spirit had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him. Then they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.” And immediately His fame spread throughout all the region around Galilee.

Mark 1:21-22

Description:

Do Not Teach Peoiple Like This… “I believe the Bible teaches…”

Blessings and Cursing (Part 2 – Leviticus 26:9-13)

In Articles by Web Administrator

Aaron Cozort

A Covenant Kept

In Abraham’s day, God said, “And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly… And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee” (Genesis 17:2, 7).

Multiplication.

“For I will look on you favorably and make you fruitful, multiply you and confirm My covenant with you.”  There is addition.  Numbers added to another number.  There is subtraction, numbers removed from another number.  But nothing grows a number’s size like multiplication.  God doesn’t promise to add to Abraham’s descendants, but to multiply them.

Blessings Abound.

The active servant of God in Israel had a promise to Him.  It was a definite promise, but it demanded faith and obedience.  If they would obey God, if they would walk in His statutes, then…

“…I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.” – You will have blessings of the land.

“Your threshing shall last till the time of vintage, and the vintage shall last till the time of sowing” – You will have sufficiency – not a claim for riches, but needs supplied.

“you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.” – There are provisions and security and an opportunity for contentment.

“I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none will make you afraid; I will rid the land of evil beasts, and the sword will not go through your land.” – There is a picture here of an animal, perhaps a lamb, lying in the grass content and safe, with no reason to be afraid of attack forces around you.

“You will chase your enemies, and they shall fall by the sword before you.  Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall by the sword before you.” – The strength of God to fight on your side.  When five men can chase away a hundred enemies, and a hundred men can defeat ten thousand, the skill is not in the men, but in the Lord who fights for them.

I Would Rather Be Fishing

In Admonition by Aaron Cozort

Scripture:

Mark 1:17

Description:

I Would Rather Be Fishing — but there is something more important than fishing in a literal sense and that is fishing for Men.
And as He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. Then Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”
